Early in the year of 1132
Luminier attacks Moaglesh in Arborea, and Eluriel speaks with Luminier about the war with the Asrals and the Crusade's form of justice.
It's Night.
The market place is the heart of Arborea, where merchants from all over the
continent can offer their wares for sale and exchange gossip and news with
customers and competitors alike. To the northern side of the place, a large
two-story building has a sign mounted to the wall above the entrance, while
roads start to the east, south and west. In the center of the market, a
large fountain offers a cool drink to the thirsty travelers, and next to it
a manhole leads down into the sewers.
There are four obvious exits: north, east[r], south[r], west[r].
Moaglesh (surrounded by a circling breeze) and Volog is resting here.
> Slightly faded and very deep tracks of a dwarf leading east, coming from west.
Moaglesh is a leathered short-legged male dwarf.
The black skin of this dwarf seems permanently dehydrated and wrinkled,
and his face appears somehow leathery, with deep crinkles and slight
scars covering his cheeks and forehead. His facial features also show
a broken consistency similar to extremely old parchment, and his huge,
over-sized belly hinders quick or elegant movement significantly.
He has scars on his nose, left cheek and right cheek.
He is surrounded by a circling breeze.
He is surrounded by flames.
He has black eyes.
He has short black hair and a normal long black beard.
He is very short and fat for a dwarf.
He looks hideous.
He is slightly hurt.
He is extremely alert.
He is wearing a battle helmet, a golden amulet, a left chain boot, a left
chain gauntlet, a medium leather backpack, a padded tunic (hardened), a pair
of chain-leggings, a right chain boot and a right chain gauntlet.
You nod slightly.
Moaglesh raises his hand and greets you!
You say in Common: Greetings.
Moaglesh grumbles in Common: Hello!
Moaglesh grumbles in Common: Have ye seen me son?
You ask in Common: Your son?
Volog shouts in Common: HELP! Please HELP!
Luminier walks in from east.
Luminier attacks Moaglesh.
Luminier successfully blocks Moaglesh's attack and immediately launches a
counterattack.
Luminier thrusts his long wooden rider lance at Moaglesh's torso,
penetrates his tunic and drills it deep into his torso, causing a deep
wound.
Moaglesh's wounds start to bleed.
As Luminier hits Moaglesh, flames scorch his skin.
Moaglesh thrusts his left fist at Luminier's left arm, but his chainmail
deflects all damage.
Moaglesh stomps out west.
Luminier unwields a rider lance.
Hmmmmm.
Luminier is a silver-tongued ageless male human.
His body looks exceptionally well conditioned for a human. A large scar runs
across the left side of his face and has made his left eye appear milky white
instead of a deep silver. His face is solemn and shows clear signs of age that
are made worse from his severe scars. His drab brown hair greys in some areas.
He has scars on his nose, left cheek and right cheek.
He has silver eyes.
He has short brown hair and a very short brown beard.
He is tall and of normal weight for a human.
He looks repulsive.
He is slightly hurt.
He is extremely alert.
He is wearing a black robe, a heavy left leather boot, a heavy right leather
boot, a leather eye-patch, a left chain gauntlet, a long white tunic, a
medium leather backpack and a right chain gauntlet.
You surmise that he wears additional body armours, leg armours, head armours
and clothing under this.
He has a scabbard belt under his clothes.
Luminier drinks water from the fountain.
Luminier washes himself in the fountain.

Luminier and Volog is resting here.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: He runs pretty fast doesn't
he?
You ask in Common: Wasn't there something about not attacking in the
city?
Luminier looks at you.
You shrug slightly.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: Yes I think Andy claimed
she would ban people or some such.
You say in Common: Something like that, yes.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: What do you think of
Moaglesh?
Luminier asks Volog in Common: moaglesh
You shrug.
Volog yells in Common: Yeah, I've heard about him. He always seems to
have a kind word and a helping hand for others.
Volog smiles.
Volog yells in Common: I saw him pass me by about 30 minutes ago.
You say in Common: He seems a bit... well, zealous would be one term
for it.
Luminier chuckles.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: Really you would say
zealous?
You say in Common: Something like that.
You smile slightly.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: What would you say of
me?
Hmmmmm.
You say in Common: I would say... you certainly hold firm to your
ideals.
Luminier nods solemnly.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: It is a must in times like
these.
You ask in Common: Times like these?
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: Yes. Where evil is
fostering slowly.
You ask in Common: Doesn't it always?
You grin slightly.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: Not always.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: There are times of calm.
And there are time where evil is at large.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: Sathonys is evil at
large.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: Right now... this
'war'.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: It is evidence of an evil
that is festering and growing.
Hmmmmm.
You ask in Common: And what do you make of this war then?
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: I see it to be a little
useless. I did everything I could to prevent it. The Asrals and their lust
made it so.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: They condemned themselves
to everything they have suffered.
You ask in Common: Oh? How did it come to be?
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: You are familiar with Mona
correct? She was a Crusader.
You say in Common: Yes, a little.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: She left us, abandoning her
vows. This is a crime punishable by death and it is a lifetime punishment in
the Crusade.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: All Crusaders are told this
before they are admitted.
You say in Common: I see.
You ask in Common: You don't find that a bit extreme?
You ask in Common: To go on hunting someone forever?
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: Did they not accept that
along with their vows before they were even admitted?
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: If one is told they will be
hunted forever if they leave, and then they leave. It is not extreme in my
opinion.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: That is just following
through.
You say in Common: Well, I suppose I wouldn't understand why one would
take such vows in the first place.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: I think one must have the
vigilance of a Crusader to truly understand.
You say in Common: Mm, yes.
You say in Common: It seems a rather stringent life. But I suppose
there must be some benefits.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: Few actually, if any.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: Depends what one considers
a benefit.
You ask in Common: And how do you recruit members again?
You grin playfully.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: We search for warriors of
strong minds and strong faith in Taniel or Evren. Or if they have no faith,
show them the works of Taniel and Evren and see if that interests them.
You say in Common: I suppose the strength and power may be appealing.
Still, it seems a lot to sacrifice... one's soul really.
Luminier chuckles.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: I have no soul?
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: I know legions that would
disagree.
You ask in Common: It belongs to Taniel, yes? And your Crusaders.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: My soul may belong to
Taniel but it is still mine. I have not given it up and Taniel does not
seek to steal it.
Luminier ponders the sky for a moment.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: My brothers have my
friendship and loyalty.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: But not my soul.
You ask in Common: What do you have to yourself then?
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: My mind and body.
Luminier looks at the rider lance.
Allurana gracefully enters from west.
Luminier starts to sharpen the long wooden rider lance with his bluish-gray
whetstone.
Allurana goes hmmmm.
Volog tells Allurana in Common: Please, have mercy! I'm starving! Just
one coin!
Luminier looks at Allurana.
Allurana asks Volog in Quenya: me
Volog yells in Common: I have no idea what you are talking about! Speak
a language I know!
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: Greetings.
Luminier is sharpening his long wooden rider lance.
Allurana asks Volog in Common: me
Allurana nods to Luminier.
Volog yells in Common: You are up to no good, no good at all!
You say in Common: But that is still devoted to your cause.
Volog shakes his head in disagreement.
Allurana is a sensual willowy female elf.
Almost resembling a darkelf at first glance, this woman has pale greyish
skin and an athletic frame, criss-crossed with several scars, from burns
to slash wounds, as well as twisting and swirling tribal designs colored
with soot. Her hair is a pure raven black colour, save an irregular
patch of alabaster white above her left temple. Bone piercings decorate
her ears, lips, nose, and eyebrows, giving her a savage look. Her eyes
are a dark violet hue, appearing alert, but also hardened and detached.
She has scars on her nose, left cheek and right cheek.
She has purple eyes.
She has very long black hair.
She is short and lean for an elf.
She looks gorgeous.
She is in good shape.
She is somewhat alert.
She is wearing a black robe, a left leather boot, a left leather gauntlet, a
right leather boot and a right leather gauntlet.
You surmise that she wears additional body armours, leg armours and clothing
under this.
She has a scabbard belt under her clothes.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: Devoted, sure. But that
doesn't make it not my own.
Luminier is sharpening his long wooden rider lance.
Allurana asks Luminier in Common: foul reputation here?
Luminier tells Allurana in Common: Neutral at best I would say.
Luminier is sharpening his long wooden rider lance.
You tell Luminier in Common: You cannot even have a lover. That's
hardly your own.
Allurana asks Volog in Common: luminier
Volog yells in Common: Can't say I heard either good or bad things
about him recently.
Luminier is sharpening his long wooden rider lance.
Volog shrugs.
Luminier tells you in Common: Is taking a lover all that
matters?
Allurana gracefully leaves north.
Luminier is sharpening his long wooden rider lance.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: I have love for my just and
righteous cause.
Allurana gracefully enters from north.
Allurana gives a copper coin and a gold coin to Volog.
You say in Common: Of course not.
Allurana goes hmmmm.
Volog yells in Common: Thank you!
Allurana drops a bronze coin, four copper coins and eleven silver coins into
her bag.
Volog yells in Common: Thank you!
Luminier is sharpening his long wooden rider lance.
You say in Common: But neither is that just and right cause.
You smirk.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: What?
You tell Luminier in Common: I think perhaps you are too devoted to see
what it is you really do.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: What do I do?
You say in Common: Well, you did just strike a dwarf in the middle of
the city square, despite it being prohibited by the judge of this city.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: We are at war, he killed my
brothers.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: If someone killed your
family, would you not seek justice?
You say in Common: Indeed. I would.
Luminier removes a helmet.
Luminier runs his hand through his short brown hair.
Luminier drinks water from the fountain.
Luminier washes himself in the fountain.
Luminier removes a cross.
Luminier wears a helmet on his head and neck.
Luminier wears a cross on his neck.
Luminier puts two small silver crosses into his backpack.
Luminier looks at the cross.
Luminier removes a cross.
Luminier takes a small silver cross from his backpack.
Luminier wears a cross on his neck.
Luminier puts a small silver cross into his backpack.
Luminier looks at the cross.
You say in Common: But I suppose some would not look at it the same way
were I to take vengeance in whatever way seemed fit to me.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: I suppose you are one of
those people that don't see my brand of justice how I see it?
You ask in Common: How do you see it?
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: I believe it is obvious how
I see it. I do not make choices without strongly considering the
consequences and seeking guidance of the Gods and of my brothers. I make
decisions, act on those decisions and they represent justice and
righteousness acted out to the best of my ability.
You ask in Common: And what of another's brand of justice? If you
wronged someone's brother and they took it out on you, what would you make
of that?
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: Define, 'took it out on
me'.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: Having words with me would
be fine. But attacking a Lord Marshall and a Judge would be a decision with
serious repercussions.
You nod slowly.
Luminier tells Allurana in Common: Should you wish it, there is a
bounty in Elvandar on the head of Moaglesh.
Allurana asks Luminier in Common: What sort of bounty?
Luminier tells Allurana in Common: Return his head to me, and youll
receive 30 gold coins.
Allurana says with a wispy tone in Common: I'll take it into
consideration.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: Return him to me alive, and
bound will earn the same amount.
You ask in Common: Doesn't an act like that have consequences?
Allurana says with a wispy tone in Common: Whom are you asking?
You nod to Luminier.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: He is an outlaw in
Elvandar.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: Even before I became Judge
he was an outlaw.
You ask in Common: For... stealing wood I believe?
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: Among other things. Ill
need to add teaming with Mona, a known outlaw.
Luminier tells you in Common: Citizens like yourself should seek
his head. If you truly care about Elvandar.
Luminier says deeply and quietly in Common: Excuse me.
Volog shouts in Common: HELP! Please HELP!
Luminier walks out west.
You ask in Common: What threat is he really?
You emote: Eluriel mutters to herself.
Allurana says with a wispy tone in Common: More an annoyance than a
threat I'd say.
Allurana says with a wispy tone in Common: Unless you count angry
letters as threatening.
You say in Common: Then it seems rather pointless to call for his
head.
You shrug.
Allurana says with a wispy tone in Common: Sometimes it can be a relief
to squash a nuisance.
You say in Common: For some I suppose.
