The tale of Vashniir's departure, from Ezdreli Kiann's point of view.

You bend over nearly double and force your way through the gap in the
bushes. You end up with wet feet and a number of scratches, but when you can
look around again, you find yourself in a beautiful glade.

Only a sprinkling of trees spreads shade over this secluded glade. In the
center of the ring of trees, a small spring bubbles out of the ground,
flowing into a brook which runs to the east. There seems to be an ancient
altar built around the opening in the rock where the spring comes out. To
the south, dangerous-looking rocks block your way to the sea. The only exit
seems to be back from where you came.
Vashniir. A squirrel climbs up a tree and vanishes into a knothole.
You smile.
You feel great delight by drinking as much as you can from the brook.
You plop down on the ground.
Vashniir falls to the ground.
You comment musically in Common: Anyway.
You comment musically in Common: You helped me, I'd like to figure out
how to help you.
You smile slightly.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: I don't want to be helped.
Just some small clouds drift along the otherwise
clear autumn sky. A slight wind blows from the southwest.
You comment musically in Common: If you don't wanna be helped, why did you
say anything?
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: I was telling.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: I was telling you that I wish to leave.
You comment musically in Common: So in the name of getting rid of your pain,
you prefer to make others hurt? That's not like you.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: No one will care.
You raise an eyebrow.
You can see a small deer in the distance, suddenly it jumps away into the
underwood.
You comment musically in Common: I have no idea how you can think that.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: Don't you see? Everyone will forget
me soon enough. The world will get over it.
You tell Vashniir in Common: I've had to forget too damn many people as it
is.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: And now you're probably better for it.
You comment musically in Common: Not really.
You comment musically in Common: Everyone I used to know went away, I had to
find totally new friends, half of whom don't even fucking understand me.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: Well it doesn't matter. It's not like you
really care about me, I'm just another person.
You comment musically in Common: Just because I don't care that way doesn't
mean I don't care at all.
You smile at Vashniir.
Vashniir asks in Common: Why should I believe that?
You ponder the situation.
You comment musically in Common: Because it's true?
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: No way I can know that for sure.
You comment musically in Common: Explain why I played that song then.
Explain why I tried to keep you from getting drunk when you said you didn't
want me to let you, even though all I got for it was bitching.
Just some small clouds drift along the otherwise
clear autumn sky. A slight wind blows from the southwest.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: Because...when you look at me...
Vashniir asks in Common: You see Saimec, don't you?
You ponder the situation.
You comment musically in Common: I see a friend who maybe isn't the
strongest guy in the world, but's still worth something anyway, whether he
thinks so or not.
A boar charges away into the underwood, obviously
fleeing something.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: Then maybe that's it. Maybe I've
become cold, a cold-hearted bastard who couldn't care less whether I hurt
people or not.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: Maybe I'm being selfish for wanting to leave.
Vashniir asks in Common: So what?
You comment musically in Common: Because that's not who you are. If that was
who you are, I'd have never started hanging out with you in the first place.
You grin slightly.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: People change.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: It's no exception for me.
You comment musically in Common: The way I see it, you're pretty much
overloaded lately, it's natural to feel this way for a while at least.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: Ezdreli, look at me, damn it!
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: I'm not who I used to be!
You comment musically in Common: I remember a time when I wished I could be
a human so I could just die and not have to deal with everyone leaving anymore.

Vashniir is a mature well-tanned male human.
You see a man with light, wavy brown hair and chilling blue eyes. He seems
a bit plain, but he has one feature of interest: a long scar that reaches
across the bridge of his nose.
He has scars on his nose.
He has blue eyes.
He has short brown hair and a very short brown beard.
He is tall and lean for a human.
He looks coarse.
He is in good shape.
He is extremely alert.
He is wearing a leather quiver, a left warglove, a long midnight-blue cape,
a pair of black leather boots and a right warglove.
He is resting.
Just some small clouds drift along the otherwise
clear autumn sky. A slight wind blows from the southwest.
Vashniir drums his fingers on the ground.
Vashniir asks in Common: Well?
You ponder the situation.
You comment musically in Common: You can't just deny a part of yourself and
say ok that's not me anymore. Yes people change, but usually not on purpose.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: I never said it was on purpose...I
didn't mean for this to happen.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: But the fact of the matter is, it did.
A gentle breeze rustles through the leaves.
You comment musically in Common: And you made me talk about stuff I didn't
wanna hurt you with to try and help me. That wasn't so very long ago.
You smile slightly.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: There's no set time for change.
You comment musically in Common: For that reason alone, I wouldn't call you
like Saimec. He wouldn't have had the guts.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: You don't get it...you just don't get it.
You comment musically in Common: Because you're not telling me.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: I can't take this anymore. I love you, you've
got Brand. I love Areea, she's got Atrophius. I try to keep to myself, and all
this shit with Sathos among others ruin everything. Anyone I love ends up leaving me.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: And I just want it all to end.
You ask Vashniir in Common: Do you have any idea how worried Atrophius has been lately? He just picks on you because that's what guys do.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: I don't care! This isn't about him picking on me!
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: Maybe I'm weak, but I just can't deal with any of
this.
You comment musically in Common: I think somewhere he feels like he betrayed
you with all that, and yeah somewhere I do too because it's really not fair.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: That's...none of my concern.
You comment musically in Common: You deserve better than this.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: Maybe so, but nothing's going to change it.
You comment musically in Common: Well, going away and trying not to feel
anything anymore sure won't change it.
A boar charges away into the underwood, obviously fleeing something.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: Yes it will. I have to act. I'm
better off without all of this, just like everyone here is better off
without me.
You comment musically in Common: I don't know how you can assume that about
us, or why you think we'd feel that way.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: You may not at first, but it will be
better off in the long run.
You comment musically in Common: Why?
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: Because...I'll only end up hurting
those I care about.
You comment musically in Common: What do you think you're doing now?
You smirk.
You comment musically in Common: Do you see me running away?
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: Listen to me.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: I have this dream. A recurring nightmare.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: In this dream, we're talking, just like
we are now. And all at once, I get up...and ram a sword through your throat.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: Don't you get it? It's an omen.
You ponder the situation.
You hear birds singing in the treetops above you.
A squirrel climbs up a tree and vanishes into a knothole.
You comment musically in Common: And which are you more afraid of, hurting
us or hurting yourself? Or is it kinda the same thing, in a way?
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: I don't know. I just don't know.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: But I don't understand why you can't
just accept it and let me go about doing what I want.
You comment musically in Common: If it's the only thing that'll help you,
sure I'll let you. But I'm not convinced that it is.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: I'm not asking you to believe it.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: That...that's it, then.
Vashniir slowly rises to his feet.
Vashniir asks in Common: Could you do one more thing for me?
You ask in Common: What?
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: Tell everyone...tell everyone goodbye
for me.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: I can't do it myself.
You comment musically in Common: Of course I will.
Vashniir is visibly fighting back tears.
Vashniir speaks clearly in Common: Good-bye, Ezdreli...
Vashniir suddenly seems to disappear...

After informing Triana and Atrophius, I took them back there for another bit of rp, but Triana left.

You wear the wooden simple flute on your right hand.
You emote: Ezdreli plays an eerie melody on the flute that sounds somehow druidish.
You emote: Ezdreli ends the song on a long quavering note which echoes resonantly throughout the area.
