Describe RaptorsChildhood here.

A little elven child was born in ElvanDar 998 years after the arrival. His Father, Ilja Tenfinger, was
known as a healer and herbalist and an adept Mage. His mother was Gwylean Morgana a beutiful
elven singer and dancer. They were respectful members of ElvanDar's society, both had a long and
respectful family tradition in the city's history. They lived the life of a happy family. Helped those
were in need of it, worshippen their gods (Taniel and Evren) and tried to better themselves in their
profession.

And then.. a strange illness started to affect animals around ElvanDar. Some of those wondered in
the woods were kept telling about the appereance of orcs, goblins, and other chaotic creatures in
the ElvanDar Woods. One day, as Ilja was on his way to collect herbs for his daily work he met a
strange, pale female elf who was seemengly wounded and ill.
She introduced herself as Eäruviel and told she was attacked by orcs while she was trying to get to
ElvanDar to find a healer. After Ilja treated her wounds he took Eäruviel to his house to find a cure
for her. Eäruviel's wounds were cured, but her illness seemed to worsen. She had high fever and
often screamed at night, so Ilja spent more and more time trying to help her. Until, one of those
nights as Ilja was attemping to ease her pain, Eäruviel suddenly kissed him.
The day after Ilja remembered nothing, and Eäruviel started to get better. She soon left the house,
but her job has already been done. She was a Dark Elven priestess of Lillith who was sent in the woods
to find and corrupt Ilja.

From that day Ilja started to change. Spent more and more time to learn about ilnesses, without curing
them. He stoped worshipping Taniel and Evren and secretely he devoted his soul to Lillith and started
to experiment on wild animals. He spread new, unknown, highly infectous and hard to cure ilnesses that
slowly started to affect the wilderness. He also spent more and more time in his laboratory instead of
caring about his family. As Gwylean questioned him, he told he has to work harder to find a cure for those
new illnesses that appeared around the city. Meanwhile, day by day he dug himself deeper in the darker
arts. He became unpatient and angry. As the darker arts and the madness Lillith planted into his mind
slowly eated up his sanity, he bacame agressive also. Started to beat his beloved wife Gwylean who hided
her disgrace and gave up her singing and dancing. The former cheerful and lovely family home, turned up
to a silent, sinister house, where guests were unwelcomed.
The little boy, Gwolyan suddenly recognised his beloved Father turned away from him. And his mother was
crying nearly all day. He did not understand any of those changes, but soon learned how to move unnoticed
and how to play alone. One day he was playing with those animals his father kept held to 'cure' them from
their unknown diseases, when Ilja at the very top of his madness saw him and decided to use him as the
object of his exepriment on humanoid beeings. He was kin to his son, after a long time, so little Gwolyan
gladly drunk those elixirs and ate those bad tasted components he told him to feed on.
Though the little boy started to feel ill, he was sure his father tries to cure him. But not her mother Gwylean.
After a long time she recognised her husband's insanity and tried to escape from the house with her son.
But Ilja was aware. From that time Ilja treated his family members as prisoners. He continued his experimens
on them.

Of course these happenings were soon invited the attention of Taniel's church. After a short investigation
the inquisition took the case to itself and started to chart the connections between the stange illnesses
and the activities of Ilja.
As Ilja recognised the inquisition was after him, he prepared a horrible experiment. Wanted to transform
his son to a beast, that would infect ElvanDar with a horrible disease. All he needed for the succesfull
transformation was the life energy of a living elven beeing.. his wife.
As he knew he had to hurry, swiftly made the necessary preparation for the horrible transformation and
by the time the priests and armed soldiers of Taniels inquisition broke his door, he already started the
ritual.

a passage from High Inquisitor Prometeo's report

I ordered the zealots to break the door of the accused herbalist's house.
Soon after we breached the door we heard the chanting voice of that
obsessed soul and insane sinner Ilja Tenfinger.
"Hurry! Destroy all opposition! Show no mercy against the foul creatures
of chaos! You shall show no mercy against the followers of Lillith!"
were my words to harden the souls of our zealots before we faced the
horrible truth of Lillith's corruption.
As we entered the nest of the Demon, the presence of Lillith was
almost touchable. The air was filled with the scent of both animal
and human faeces mixed with the smell of burning bromstone.
As I we have heard chanting and other horrible noises sifting from
the cellars, we wasted no time to search the other parts of the scene
of those horrible crimes, but headed directly to the heart of evilness.
Upon the moment I was entered the cellars, leading my good men to
face the horrid beast of darkness, that fouled creature Ilja was just
about to finish his gruesome ritual. But before he could shout the final
words of that corrupted magical experiment, I smited him in the name of
Taniel, Lord of Order and Light. (be his name forever blessed! sic.)

Though I smited him, he died not, but felt in our hands. His wife, poor
Gwylean became a victim of the ritual, all we could do was to pray for
her poor soul... But the true nature of horror was revealed its face
when we found Gwolyan, Ilja's son, shackled to a hastily fabricated
Altar, covered by runes of evil magic.
"BEWARE! We need that 'thing' alive!" so did I order my followers who
were already about to finish the suffering of the screaming creature
the boy was almost transfromed to.
"We should keep 'thins thing' alive! Through it we can learn about evil's
intentions. Tie it up and bring with you. The same about Ilja"
So my henchmen took them away, together with the remains of Gwylean.

As I had already descriped in my prosecutions diary we could learn nothing
further from Ilja before he was finally sentenced and burned for witchcraft
though our healers had a lot of work to keep him alive...
(side note: In my opinion we had to pay unexpectedly much for the six limb
replacements and the fourty fracture treatments during their prosecution,
should find a cheaper healer)
The boy proved to be innocent.. at least I never saw a 7 years old boy that
was trained enough to bear that pain..
(side note: At least his twentysix fractures were healed as gratis and having his
prosecutors warned, he needed no limb replacement)
So after having them both interrogated, we set the boy free.. though I doubt
he will survive long.. as since his interrogation he speaks no word..
May Taniel show mercy on him!

end of passage

So little Gwolyan was set free. But he soon recognised he had better die. No one
accepted him into his house. His relatives turned away, kids only scorned and beated
him up and had to fight for discarded food with the cats, dogs and rats of ElvanDar
So.. Gwolyan soon moved his residence into the sewers.. and disappeared forever....
But then.. several years later a strenge, twisted, wizened, maimed elf speaking no
words, but writing in the sand.. appeared... fighting with a shovel, and calling himself

Raptor...
