Her long, golden hair falls in an artful tumble around her pale shoulders, parting slightly to allow her delicately pointed ears to poke through the tresses. The skin of her face is so smooth and unlined that she seems very young, until you look into her clear, wise sapphire eyes. Her lips are deep red and generous. Her every motion is flawless, as if she were performing a spontaneous, yet perfectly choreographed dance.

• BACKGROUND:*

Gwenlanea was a spry elflass barely over 90 years of age when the humans landed on the shores of Forostar. Although having an older brother she was the first female child of the Queen and henceforth heiress to the Elvish Throne. Although she much prefered to train with her bow alongside her father, King and Warleader of the Elves, she was also educated in the ways of diplomacy and was present when the human delegation visited Eal-Deliah. Those elves still alive do not say much about those times but it is believed that Gwenlanea was somehow involved in the incident that triggered the Race Wars.

For the next 34 years the young princess played an active role in the war effort. She oversaw the care of those elves orphaned by the war and campaigned with her father as his personal aid. For reasons unknown after the battle which finally secured victory for the Alliance over the insects this promising young warrioress put down her bow and has never touched one since. Instead she adopted the ways of the Taniel Clerics and indeed became one of them. She took possession of the throne in 47 A.A. after her parents, weary from the long wars, decided to pass together.

Her rule has been characterized by over a thousand years of peace. She has worked especially hard to improve the relationships between Elves and Humans and even Elves and Dwarves. This has disturbed some of the more traditional Elvish Nobles but for the most part Elvish Citizens adore her. All however find it a bit strange that although she has ruled longer than any other elvish monarch before her she has never taken a mate and thus has produced no heiress. This has led to several rumours regarding her lovelife but they are all dismissed as gossip.
