Definitely under construction... but less than yesterday!
Born exactly 1000 A. A., this young elf was from the very beginning treated in ways not suitable for any child. As his birthdate was such an ominous one, his parents and small family could never decide if he was to be shunned or appreciated more than others. The few other children in his small village north of
ElvanDar teased him, and often ganged up to show him what they thought of this 'special child'.
If he had been a human - or even a dwarf - this would probably not have happened, since these races proliferate on a higher scale, and he would probably not have been the only child born in the village exactly these 1000 years after the great misfortunes began.
Lucky for him though, one of his relatives - a very kind uncle - knew that all this was just foolishness, and treated him more like a child should be. He showed him how to defend himself from the bullies, and showed him how to think in more open ways, so as not to hate others for their weaknesses.
This marked
ZondolFin forever, and he can never stand silent when innocent lives are destroyed or tampered with by malicious forces.
After only some 80 years in his village, he found that he needed to move on and see more of the world, so as not to get stuck in the small way of life practiced by his fellow villagers and family. He struck out on his own.
He soon reached
ArboRea, and found this to be a city of his liking. The very nature of
ArboRea was that of defending the innocent from their pursuers, and the humans he found that he had a strange bond with - perhaps since it was they who were the excuses of the bullies of his youth.
He started working there in small ways, helping the guard and legion when possible, joining the Skald guild, and adventuring out in small forays to try and help those around the city needing it.
He quickly became a proficient Skald, but found his voice to be the more dynamic tool of the trade, and so soon gave up the bulky and cumbersome instruments.
Pretty much at the same time as his Skald skills reached a level of some professionality, he was asked by Morgor if he could find it in his heart to join the Asral clergy as an acolyte.
This caused him much indecisiveness, since joining a dedicated guild of priests was somewhat against his personal beliefs of openness and acceptance of the ways of others. But it did not take him long to understand that the beliefs of Asral were those of his own, or at least close enough for him to be satisified. The fact that Asral had an outspoken neutral stance towards the battle of 'good' and 'evil', and the fact that Asral had stepped in when the humans were hunted by their former gods, was proof of this.
Therefore he decided to join this guild of preachers, samaritans and ferocious fighters as a student of Tarlon, and started building his own view of the Asral religioun and the world surrounding him.
He has recently left the Skald guild, feeling that he can no longer learn anything from the resources obtainable there, and instead joined the Scribe guild. The great resources of learning and knowledge stored there is something that must be both respected and supported. And if he himself can learn of the experience - then all the better.
Zondolfin is a friend of his friends. And of the One True God, of course.
He is not as dogmatic as other clerics, which may or may not become a serious problem for him...
