*LORD ISHA'EL SILVERARROW*

  • Born:* 982 A.A.
  • Birthplace:* Elvish Capital of ElvanDar
  • Place of Residence:* Currently making plans for an estate in the evergreen forest

Ishael was born on the 8th day in the month of the Fly, 982 A.A. as heir to the House Silverarrow, an ancient clan of warriors dating back to the birth of the elvish nation. Sadly, Ishael's mother did not survive his birth. With his father having been felled in a battle against the goblin hordes of the west just a few months earlier, Isha'el was left a penniless orphan with only a title to his name. He was taken in and raised by one SelrionOakleaf, head of the Elvish Queen's personal guard, and thus spent the first 90 years of his life in and about the Palace of ElvanDar. On his 90th birthday, the young Lord Silverarrow bid farewell to the palace and left ElvanDar for the first time to further his education at the Shaolin Temple.

The Shaolin gave him the name Gojin, so as not to afford him any advantages because of his birth. Under the tuteledge of Shaolin Masters Galator and Duncan as well as a former Master turned Centurio of the Legion Iske pa Hatari (whom he considers his mentor to this day), he showed great aptitude for art and philosophy. He became intregally involved in temple politics and often accompanied Masters as they met with representatives of other cities and guilds. He came to be known as a model Shaolin and was soon entrusted with the rank of Master of the Arts. It was at this time that a young monk named JezZ was part of the Shaolin Temple. JezZ had accompanied Gojin on many of his travels and the two considered each other close friends but JezZ held a dark secret. He was a worshipper of the goblin god Lillith and a confrontation between he and a few Taniel Clerics led him to be hunted. Gojin, now a young Shaolin Master, asked for mercy from the Taniel Church on JezZ's behalf. Instead he found himself excommunicated by the then Archbishop then facing JezZ himself in mortal combat on the streets of ElvanDar.

Embarressed by the suffering his pupil had caused, the young Lord Silverarrow went before the Elvish Queen to apologize on behalf of the Shaolin. He found her quite understanding and even gathered the courage to propose a plan to strengthen ElvanDar's forces incase of future troubles, to his great surprise it was accepted. Reminded of his duty to the Elvish Nation, he swore fealty to Queen Gwenlanea and was recognized as the 9th Lord of the House Silverarrow given the rank of junior retainer. Over the years his influence grew both in ElvanDar and within the Shaolin Temple, stepping down from a tied vote naming him Speaker of the Temple only to recieve the title a year later. As defender of the Elvish capital he has faced many great challenges and overcome them all.

In the late 70s the young lord earned a reputation of valor for repeatedly defending ElvanDar from Sathony Priests. He earned the Queen's praise and the rank of full retainer as well as an elvish artifact from the Queen's personal collection.

As In the year 1081 the dragon Ingeloakastimizilian wreaked havoc upon all of Forostar. Lord Silverarrow was tasked as ElvanDar's representative to deal with the beast. Through flattery and cunning he convinced the ancient dragon to stay comfortably in his lair for years after.

Late in the year 1083 Asral Clerics attacked ElvanDar sparking a series of battles between the War Clerics and the elvish peoples. Lord Silverarrow led a succesful assault on the Asral Temple and earned the scorn and contempt of his adversaries before finally representing ElvanDar in the peace negotiations. During the war however, conflicts of interest arose and Lord Silverarrow was asked to relinquish his position as Speaker of the Shaolin Temple. He felt he had done the Temple a great disfavour with his actions and that his time as Speaker was not as fruitful as he had hoped. To this day it is his greatest dissapointment.

The year 1084 brought dark rumors of an evil force in the west. A goblin army the size none had ever seen before was massing under the banner of a demonic ogre by the name of Shaglug. Lord Silverarrow participated as ElvanDar's support to the Legion of Forostar and served as a forward scout and participated in many battles against the goblin army. He is credited with the discovery of a powerful artifact in Ironhold and was one of the 3 heroes that destroyed the Demon and stalled its army before it reached the great cities of Forostar. Earning him the rank of Senior retainer to the Queen.

Years passed and Lord Silverarrow continued in his role as advisor to the Queen of ElvanDar. During those years his relationship with the church of Taniel continued to worsen. He was appalled by the trend of accepting humans and dwarves as clerics of the lord Taniel. One day he became enthralled in an argument with one of these human clerics. His pleas to the Archbishop to have the human punished went unheaded and so he challenged the upstart to a duel. This was the first of many incidents that would soil the reputation of this once great hero. Enemies that had previously faced him with sword and spear now attacked him through word of mouth. Rumours abounded about him. The words "thief" and "assasin" were often used to describe him.

By the year 1089 Lord Silverarrow was infuriated. The elvish peoples had lost trust in him. His enemies numbered more than ever and he had no allies. Still he went about ensuring the security of his city and his Queen. At this time a human peasant slandered his name on the public board in ElvanDar and Lord Silverarrow swore he would have his head. This led to sporatic fighting with the Asral Clerics who protected the human. Finally during a clash of swords that was quickly going in the enemies favor Lord Silverarrow rushed into the Palace of ElvanDar for sanctuary. His enemy, the Asralite Cleric Morgor, ran after him and they fought inside the palace. The battle raged its way into the Queen's throne room were Lord Silverarrow was certain her elite guard would defend him against Morgor a known enemy of the Queen. Instead, disgusted that he had brought a personal qualm into the presence of the Queen, they stood back and merely watched. Surprised, Lord Silverarrow lost the advantage and was defeated shortly thereafter in the palace garden. There the shame of having brought such a disturbance into the palace overcame him. He took his mithril blade, a gift from the Queen, in hand and slew himself. So the first life of Lord Isha'el Silverarrow ended.

Three years passed before the elf known as Gojin appeared once again. No one knows exactly how nor would he say where he had been. Regardless, he found ElvanDar a far different place. The Clerics of Taniel who he considered corrupted by humans had obtained great power. A new office of judge had been bestowed upon one of his hated human clerics. That a human would effectively rule ElvanDar was unacceptable and soon the former Lord Silverarrow put plans into works. He befriended a young noble by the name of Elthyr and convinced him of the Clerics corruption. The former Lord Silverarrow did not think much of the young elf but figured he could control him if he were elevated to the office of judge. Quietly the former Lord Silverarrow gained popular support for the young noble and it looked like the elves of ElvanDar would force an election which the human cleric would surely lose. The former Lord however underestimated the idiocy of Elthyr. The young noble began an argument with several high ranking clerics of Taniel and was brought up on charges. The human judge of ElvanDar accused those elves who wanted an election of betraying their Queen. A Dwarven Sathony Priest then accused the former Lord Silverarrow of conspiracy against the Queen. Though this was said by a Sathonite and a Dwarf the clerics of Taniel made sure the rumours spread. Offended and embarressed beyond belief Gojin left ElvanDar not to be seen again for another 3 more years.

Today the former retainer of the Queen and Speaker of the Shaolin Temple spends most of his time in the mountains of Giat. From time to time he will descend and offer his services to the needy but most feel he is simply biding his time to again make a move against the clerics of Taniel who he believes will bring ElvanDar to ruin.
