As the story starts, Malys and crew ran into Nogem, who was a ghoul. After a failed attempt to cure the disease, we told him we had no choice to but to kill him to purify his soul. He agreed, but only if he went down fighting.
You are in an evergreen forest nestled in a secluded valley. A tall
mountain to the west and a range of hills to the east serve as buffers
against the worst of the elements in this northern climate, making the
vegetation here lush and healthy. Trees surround you, and a thick carpet of
pine needles cushions your feet. The air is crisp and cool, and light
filters through the branches to dapple the ground around you, making quite
a pretty sight. A road continues south through the forest and north to a
gigantic marble gate which leads obviously into a city.
There are six obvious exits: north[r], east, southeast, south[r],
southwest, west.
Two big spiked clubs.
Delem, Varg, Nogem, Qelissa, Layla is resting here, Andreati is resting here
and Rex.
Nogem is a looming broad-shouldered male human.
Appearing well portioned, if not tall for a man, this human
shows no emotion in his eyes. They show no malice, no love
no hate, no anger, no saddness, no joy. The expressions of his face
seem mechanical and his eyes do not share in these simple gestures.
He has scars on his nose, left cheek and right cheek.
His skin has a sickly greenish tinge.
He has dark eyes.
He has very long red hair and a short red beard.
He is very tall and of normal weight for a human.
He looks fine.
He is in good shape.
He is extremely alert.
He is wielding a black great sword with his right hand and left hand.
He is wearing a battle-armour, a left iron boot, a left iron plate gauntlet,
a right iron boot, a right iron plate gauntlet, a wide leather belt (with
one scabbard attached to it) and a winged helmet.
You will now try to hit the right foot of your opponent.
Layla ponders the situation.
You nod slightly.
You study Nogem carefully.
He is physically feeling very well and mentally slightly degraded.
He is extremely alert.
You are much stronger than he is.
He is much more dexterous than you are.
He is much more agile than you are.
You are healthier than he is.
He looks mature for a human.
You know he will be tough if you fight him.
You know his weight is 100 kg, his volume is about 79 liter and his height
is about 195 cm.
You attack Nogem.
Had mood wimpy, shield, aiming at a tender point, stats seem pretty good, figured I was well set for a decent fight. Of course I forgot something obvious:
You feel refreshed by the soft breeze which surrounds you.
Nogem aims with his black great sword at your right hand. As you try to
defend yourself, your enemy suddenly shifts his attack, leaving your
defences open to his next attack.
Nogem smashes his black great sword at your right hand, cleaves
through your gauntlet and cuts deep into your right hand, down to the
bone.
Nogem crashes his black great sword against your right hand and
numbs it.
Your wounds start to bleed.
I forgot to change my protection from tail to hands. Oh well.
Nogem changes the grip on his sword and thrusts it forcefully towards your
torso, but your armour absorbs all damage.
You can't use the right hand.
You take a long wooden rider lance.
Andreati looks at you.
You smirk.
You are physically hurt and mentally not feeling very well.
You are bleeding.
You are extremely alert.
Andreati looks at Nogem.
You shout in Common: No Mercy! No Prisoners!
Rex raises his fist to the sky and cheers loudly.
Delem raises his fist to the sky and cheers loudly.
Varg raises his fist to the sky and cheers loudly.
Rex studies you carefully.
Something is in the way.
Something is in the way.
<Holy Crusade> Rex: us help?
Help would be nice, but I said I'd do it myself.. off to a great start with that, though.
You are physically not feeling very well and mentally not feeling very well.
You are bleeding.
You are extremely alert.
Something is in the way.
Rex studies Nogem carefully.
Nogem tries to ram his armoured knee into your right leg, but you avoid his
attack.
Nogem loses his balance and falls down to the ground.
Varg looks at you.
Nogem twists his body and tries to spring to his feet, but fails and falls
back to the ground.
You feel refreshed by the soft breeze which surrounds you.
You are bleeding!
You are physically hurt and mentally not feeling very well.
You are bleeding.
You are extremely alert.
You can't use the right hand.
Andreati tells Qelissa in Common: I like him.
Something is in the way.
Layla twiddles her thumbs.
Something is in the way.
Nogem sits up.
Something is in the way.
Something is in the way.
Nogem comes to his feet.
Something is in the way.
You remove the towershield.
You wield the rider lance in your left hand.
Nogem is ready to fight again.
<Holy Crusade> Varg: Take care of those hands, Maly.
Thanks for the advance warning. ;)
Rex looks at you.
You will now try to protect your hands.
You are physically not feeling very well and mentally not feeling very well.
You are bleeding.
You are extremely alert.
You feel refreshed by the soft breeze which surrounds you.
You are bleeding!
Nogem swings his black great sword at your right leg, but you parry his
blow.
The rider lance is too heavy.
You can't use the right hand.
This is where the stupid lance bug comes in, I can't wield it one-handed anymore, and with a numbed hand, I can't wield it two-handed, either.
You study Nogem carefully.
He is in good shape.
He is very alert.
You are much stronger than he is.
He is much more dexterous than you are.
He is much more agile than you are.
You are healthier than he is.
He looks mature for a human.
You know he could probably hurt you if you fight him.
You know his weight is 100 kg, his volume is about 79 liter and his height
is about 195 cm.
The rider lance is too heavy.
Nogem studies you carefully.

You thrust your left fist at Nogem's neck, but he dodges your attack with a
swift move of his body.
The rider lance is too heavy.
The rider lance is too heavy.
The rider lance is too heavy.
The rider lance is too heavy.
The rider lance is too heavy.

Nogem uses a gap in your defense and tries to smash his armoured head into
your face, but you avoid his attempt.

You feel refreshed by the soft breeze which surrounds you.
Your wounds stopped bleeding.
You can't use the right hand.

You are extremely alert.
You are wearing a dark mithril chain tailmail, a heavy left leather boot, a
heavy right leather boot, a left chain gauntlet, a long black cowl, a long
white tunic and a right chain gauntlet.
Under that you are wearing a dark heavy chainmail, a full barrel helmet, a
gemmed golden ring, a padded tunic, a pair of dark chain leggings, a pair of
thick leather trousers, a small silver cross, a small silver ring, a thick
leather shirt and a wide leather belt (with two sheaths attached to it).
You are carrying a long wooden rider lance and a sturdy mithril
towershield.
Andreati looks at you.
Andreati looks at Nogem.
Nogem tells Rex: Grimvan dun orl frea sun.
Nogem smashes his black great sword at your tail, cleaves through your
tailmail and cuts deep into your tail.
Your wounds start to bleed.
You thrust your left fist at Nogem's neck, but he parries your attack.
You are physically in a bad shape and mentally degraded.
You are bleeding.
You are extremely alert.
You will now try to protect your tail.
Andreati looks at you.
The rider lance is too heavy.
The rider lance is too heavy.
The rider lance is too heavy.
A long lance with a steel point, much reminding of a spear. It has a long,
dark, balanced shaft for one handed use; light and especially fit for use
on horseback. A symbol of a cross has been carved into the wooden shaft.
It is in a fine condition.
You feel refreshed by the soft breeze which surrounds you.
The soft breeze around you vanishes.
You are physically in a very bad shape and mentally degraded.
You are bleeding.
You are extremely alert.
Nogem tells Rex: Her be o orl erk be erkgard her erk o framvan.
The rider lance is too heavy.
<Holy Crusade> Rex: on your command
Your wounds bleed very heavily, don't ignore this!
The rider lance is too heavy.
Nogem changes the grip on his sword and thrusts it forcefully towards
you. He slashes into your left hand and hurts you seriously. he then twists
his weapon before he pulls it out again.
ARRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!
The rider lance is too heavy.
You can't use the right hand.
The rider lance is too heavy.
How long will this damned hand be numb??
You are physically in a very bad shape and mentally degraded.
You are bleeding.
You are extremely alert.
Andreati looks at you.
Nogem studies you carefully.
You thrust your left fist at Nogem's head, but he parries your attack.
Nogem shakes his head in disagreement.
Andreati asks Rex in Common: are they aiming to kill?
You concentrate on your small silver cross...
<Holy Crusade> You: kill him.
This is where I folded, I pretty much spent the whole fight being little more than a fumbling target.
Nogem sheathes his black great sword in his scabbard of his wide leather
belt (with one scabbard attached to it).
Your wounds bleed very heavily, don't ignore this!
You are physically terribly hurt and mentally not feeling very well.
You are bleeding.
You are extremely alert.
Nogem aims with his right fist at your left hand. As you try to defend
yourself, your enemy suddenly shifts his attack, leaving your defences open
to his next attack.
Nogem thrusts his right fist at your left hand, but your gauntlet deflects
all damage.
You go back to the second row.
You are physically terribly hurt and mentally not feeling very well.

I went back row but I'm still in the front.. probably had something to do with them being in the third row before, but at the time, I didn't think of that.
You are physically barely alive and mentally not feeling very well.
You are bleeding.
You are extremely alert.
Nogem thrusts his left fist at your left hand, but you dodge his attack
with a swift move of your body.
You are already in the team-solo-mode.

You are already in the team-solo-mode.
Your wounds bleed very heavily, don't ignore this!
Okay, I guess I shouldn't ignore it anymore. ;)
You travel a short distance north.
At the city gate of Elvandar.
As near the Elvandar city walls, you are impressed by the craftsmanship of
the builders who constructed this huge, massive gate. White ornamented
marble flanks the heavy oaken doors and you notice detailed pictures of
animals and legendary creatures carved into the wood. Despite its beauty
and elegance, it looks nearly impossible to break this gate open with brute
force. A street leads north into Elvandar, and you can leave the city to
the south.
There are two obvious exits: north[r], south[r].
An ageless slender male elf, an exciting vigilant female elf, a friendly
young female elf and a long-legged middle-aged male elf.
You begin to aid yourself.
You bandage your bloodloss.
You fail.
Andreati walks in from south.
Qelissa walks in from south.

You don't wield any 'all'.
You shake your head in disagreement.
The exciting vigilant female elf touches the tunic of the ageless slender
male elf.
The exciting vigilant female elf starts to chant a prayer and makes some strange
gestures.
Andreati bandages your worst wounds.
You rasp dryly in Common: weapon broke.
As you look south you see:
Within an evergreen forest.
You can see the shapes of two small humanoid creatures.
You can see the shapes of three medium humanoid creatures.
Andreati frowns.

Varg looks at Nogem.
Andreati frowns.
Nogem died.
You killed Nogem.
And so Nogem died, was cured of his ghoulishness, and from what I hear, was happy we let him go down fighting rather than being held prisoner. All in all, this was thus far my most enjoyable (and most challenging) pvp match, and helped teach me that Malys isn't indestructible.
