Taniel created elves as beings of Order and Light and so behaves himself the average elf. The Elvish Nation has grown from its beginnings as a 7 hut village to the society which built Eal-Deliah the greatest city in the history of Geas. It was also strong enough to rebound from devastating wars to solidify itself once again as the center of learning, philosophy, and art in the known world. From vast armies to breathtaking architectural wonders elves are in the minds of many (especially themselves) the most advanced mortals to have ever walked upon Geas.
CLASSES
Elvish Regent - From the day of their creation elves have been a matriarchal society. The royal bloodline has never been broken and can be clearly traced to the first. Traditionally the Elvish Queen chooses her mate from the class of Elvish Lords. The Sire acts as Warleader and is many times referred to as 'King' (mostly by other races who do not fully comprehend). The first female born of their courtship is heir to the throne. Any male born to the Queen forever keeps the title of prince and the eldest of these is heir to the Lordship of his father.
Elvish Lords - Descended from the original 'rimnai fel nil fal' (leaders of the hunt) these elves are tasked with any and all military matters concerning the Nation and its security. Each Lord takes the sworn oath of 'Tari a Firili' to protect both Queen and Nation with their lives and is followed by faithful retainers and soldiers who carry his banner. Once numbering in the hundreds the number of Elvish Lords was drastically cut during the Race and Insect Wars. Now only a handful remain as
ElvanDar moves to a more centralized army.
Taniel Clerics - The Clerics of Taniel serve as caretakers to the faith. Most elves still worship Taniel though a small minority left his side after Evren's gift. These elves are looked upon curiously but nontheless harmlessly by their fellow citizens. For those who still follow their parent god the clerics offer guidance as well as a great many necessary services. Taniel Clerics also work closely alongside the Elvandarian Guard to ensure the city's protection.
Elvish Citizens - Any elf born of the forest or of any citizen of
ElvanDar holds citizenship. The vast majority if not every single elf is well educated. Most elves are either foragers and hunters or artisans and scholars. Common interests include music, herbalistic sciences and long treks through the forest.
