Renhaven hums an ancient song.
It's Night.
Somewhere on a small island. The whole island seems to consist of a plain
full of fresh green grass. Near the shore of the lake stands a small empty
wooden bowl. To the north a small hill arises. A small path leads from the
shore westwards to a small hut, northwest round the hill and eastwards the
other side round.
A boat is docked on the shore of the lake.
There are four obvious exits: northup, northeast, east, west.
Two huge silver neuter wolves and Renhaven.
You are physically feeling very well and mentally slightly degraded.
You are alert.
Some kind of cat sneaks towards the hut.
Vashniir asks Renhaven in Common: mirror
Renhaven says in Common: Well, the mirror can show whats past, what
will come
Renhaven says in Common: and what is now.
Renhaven says in Common: If you dare to look you can try.
Renhaven says in Common: But don't blame me for what you see.
You sit down to rest and emote: Ezdreli plops down on the ground.
Renhaven says in Common: And don't let it concern your mind too
much.
Renhaven takes some water from the lake.
Renhaven filles some water into a tiny shell.
Renhaven nods slowly and points at the mirror.
Renhaven says in Common: You can study the mirror now.
Vashniir kneels down and looks at the mirror.
The water heats up and vaporizes extremely fast into thin air extremely
fast.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: Ahh.
Vashniir slides down into a sitting position.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: They're at the Crusader castle.
Malystryx, Adanath, Blizt, Rex, and Atro.
You hear a childish laughter.
Renhaven smiles thoughtfully.
You're beginning to get a little thirsty.
Nothing to worry about yet, but you could drink something!
Some kind of cat sneaks towards the hut.
A big falcon flies high above in the air.
Vashniir goes hmmmm.
Renhaven says in Common: And don't let it concern your mind too
much.
Renhaven takes some water from the lake.
You comment musically in Common: You know...
Renhaven filles some water into a tiny shell.
Renhaven nods slowly and points at the mirror.
Renhaven says in Common: You can study the mirror now.
Vashniir kneels down and looks at the mirror.
The water heats up and vaporizes extremely fast into thin air extremely
fast.
Vashniir goes hmmmm.
Vashniir asks in Common: Yeah?
You comment musically in Common: At one time, Atro might've made a good
Taniel priest...before they got all corrupted and hateful and shit.
Vashniir asks in Common: You think so?
Vashniir rubs his chin thoughtfully.
Hmmmmm.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: As far as I can tell, Tatiana is
still likeable.
You comment musically in Common: Surfacewise, yeah. I don't really know her
though.
You comment musically in Common: She's...distant somehow.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: Good point.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: She forgets too much.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: I finally drove my name into her
brain, though.
Vashniir grins slightly.
You comment musically in Common: Did you ever meet Glorfindel?
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: I think so.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: I know the name, but I don't really
know who he is.
You comment musically in Common: He's really the only one of them that I
consider truly worth respecting, and he left the clergy because of what it
turned into.
Vashniir nods slightly.
Renhaven hums an ancient song.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: A wise man once said the world is
going to the dogs. I forget who, but...
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: Well, now I believe him.
Vashniir smirks slightly.
You comment musically in Common: There was a time when Saimec was a priest,
when they ordered him to pretend to be friends with someone to get info out
of them, in hopes that they could torture him thereafter.
Vashniir raises his eyebrow.
You ponder the situation.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: That's just sick.
You comment musically in Common: Or her. I think it was a her.
You agree.
Renhaven smiles thoughtfully.
Vashniir asks in Common: When Glorfindel was a priest, did they torture
people?
You shake your head in disagreement.
Vashniir sighs.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: It's like they're becoming who
they're trying to fight.
You comment musically in Common: When Glorfindel was a priest, they were a
lot gentler with things.
You nod to Vashniir.
You comment musically in Common: I've tried to tell them that, but they
can't see it.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: They're blinded by power,
probably.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: If they can torture and it works,
they'll keep doing it.
You comment musically in Common: Glorfindel never would've tortured anyone,
and he wouldn't have even fought them if a less violent method would
work.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: That's the kind of guy we need right
now. That the
world needs right now.
You comment musically in Common: He killed a lot of Sathos in his day, but I
don't think he liked having to do it.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: Yeah...if you have no remorse for
killing at all, you have no soul.
You nod to Vashniir.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: I can say that, and well...you know
what I am.
Vashniir smirks slightly.
You grin slightly.
You comment musically in Common: You aren't like them though.
You smile at Vashniir.
Vashniir smiles at you.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: Thank you...hearing stuff like that
keeps me going, you know?
Renhaven hums an ancient song.
You comment musically in Common: And that's exactly what I mean. Just like
the darkelves. If they knew what you were, they'd burn the shit out of you,
and you've never done anything to deserve it.
Vashniir nods slightly.
You comment musically in Common: People need to stop concentrating so much
on good and evil, and concentrate on what's
right.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: It must be some fear deep
inside...just because of what majority says, they'll take things out on
someone just because they're one of a certain race, or kind.
Vashniir agrees with you.
You comment musically in Common: Though even there no one can agree...I'd
venture to say
JezZ's idea of right is a lot different from ours.
You sigh.
Vashniir goes hmmmm.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: Right is, after all, just a
word...and no matter how we try, there will never be just one way of
thinking for everyone.
You comment musically in Common: I've seen their board, I know they think
what they do is holy. I just don't know
why.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: They're soulless...they've given up
their soul.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: Sathonys controls them.
You comment musically in Common: The thing is...
You comment musically in Common: I don't like to hate people without
understanding them. And I don't know if I can ever understand the
Sathos.
Vashniir goes hmmmm.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: That's respectable, but chances are
if you can't understand them, you don't need to.
You comment musically in Common: I guess I can understand why they'd
willingly become slaves...other people do basically the same thing for other
gods.
Vashniir nods slightly.
You comment musically in Common: But I can't understand why they
want the
world to be destroyed.
Vashniir rubs his chin thoughtfully.
You comment musically in Common: I mean, don't they realize that if they
ever succeeded in destroying everyone else, they'd be the only ones left,
and Sathonys would more than likely destroy them too?
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: My guess is a false hope that their
god will create a new world for them.
You comment musically in Common: That's the thing with all these priesty
types.
You comment musically in Common: They want to destroy the enemy...but if
they ever did, what reason would there be for them to exist anymore?
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: Either they're too blinded by their
quest to think about it, or they just want to live in peace.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: I doubt if there's anyone like the
latter anymore, though.
You comment musically in Common: Ramandu.
You comment musically in Common: Strange as it sounds.
Vashniir ponders the situation.
You grin slightly.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: I never have gotten to know him,
really.
You comment musically in Common: He wants the world to have no more evil so
everyone will be happy all the time and lay around eating boar meat in the
sun.
You grin slightly.
Vashniir grins.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: Rangers' best friend.
You laugh.
Vashniir asks in Common: So then why can't there be more Crusaders like
that?
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: Hell, I might go so far as to say
Blizt fights people just because he can.
You comment musically in Common: Yeah.
You comment musically in Common: There might be people like that, but how
likely are the crusaders to let them join?
A small wind whirls through the grass.
You comment musically in Common: And even Ramandu will torture people if he
has to. He doesn't like it, but he'll do it.
Vashniir sighs.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: If Ramandu could move up, and change
the way things worked...
You comment musically in Common: Yeah.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: Maybe things will get better when
Blizt dies of old age or something.
Vashniir grins slightly.
You grin slightly.
You comment musically in Common: Well, dwarves live longer than humans.
You'd never get to see that day.
You sigh.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: I'll never live to see the day a lot
of stuff happens.
You hug Vashniir.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: That's just the way it works. I'm a
little speck.
Vashniir looks at you.
Vashniir asks in Common: What was that for?
Renhaven hums an ancient song.
You ponder the situation.
You comment musically in Common: Because I don't know whether to be sorrier
for you, or me.
You grin slightly.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: There's no need to be sorry for
me.
Renhaven smiles thoughtfully.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: Truthfully...
Vashniir studies himself carefully.
A small wind whirls through the grass.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: I don't know whether I'll live longer
because of you-know-what, or not.
You ponder the situation.
You comment musically in Common: I hadn't thought of that.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: It's crossed my mind a couple of
times.
You comment musically in Common: I still wonder how the really old elves
stay sane.
Vashniir ponders the situation.
You comment musically in Common: The ones who remember what it was like
before humans came here.
Vashniir asks in Common: What, was it better then or something?
Vashniir grins slightly.
You laugh.
You shake your head in disagreement.
You comment musically in Common: No not that.
Vashniir ponders the situation.
Vashniir asks in Common: What, then?
A small wind whirls through the grass.
You comment musically in Common: Well, I've had enough friends who died or
went away, and I'm barely over 100.
Vashniir goes hmmmm.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: I need to sleep and absorb all
this...
Vashniir grins slightly.
You grin slightly.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: Sorry.
Vashniir quickly pops up to his feet.
You comment musically in Common: It's ok.
Vashniir speaks deeply in Common: We'll talk more later?
You comment musically in Common: Sometimes it's too much for my brain to
handle too.
You grin slightly.
Vashniir nods slightly.
Vashniir hugs you.
Vashniir waves.
Vashniir walks out west, moving through the grass.
You wave.
- I see the conversation, does the depth come later?-- Blizt
- I can understand you're mad that you got talked badly about. Just calm down, you'll get over yourself. - Vash
- I , like many other people I have talked too, wish to know the point of this log, there is no deep conversation, its just some flames with no point.
- I think he's just wondering the point of it. -M
- If this log is a deep conversation, Vargs logs must be #1 Bestselling Epic Novels.
- It's kind of funny how often entire motivations are attributed to people who are no longer around to discuss them. I also wonder what the point of the log is, other than to stir up trouble. -Chara
- What I see is kind of funny is the way Blizt can come into a log and make it seem as if I'm 'stirring up trouble'. The point of this log is, frankly, I wanted to put it up. For people who don't see it, it's not necessary to say a word. To people of high athority who think it's irrelevant, it can be removed.
- Well, I think he can't be blamed for feeling sour that a log of insults about particular characters behind their backs was put up just for the sake of the matter. -M
- Did this log contain Vashniir's personal feelings towards Blizt? Yes. Are these feelings a bit insulting? Probably. Was this log put up to insult Blizt? Of course not. The fact of the matter is that these are his views, IC material. Certainly becoming upset OOC for something that happened IC is foolish. To quote the rules, "Only IC reactions to IC actions are allowed". If any character finds out in-game that something was said about him or her, then by all means, they may react. -Vash
- I never once said I was offended or that I was bothered by the Log, I just asked the point of it. Also, Chara and a few others are asking the point of it, so please, tell us the point of it?
- I don't think the fact that it happened IC is what mattered, I think it was the action of posting insults here for a reason that's not yet been clarified that got him going. -M
- Well, I thank you for your nice roleplay log of Renhaven explaining how the Evrens Mirror works. Also for your 10 lines of insults after that.
- This log shows simply this: insight to the way two characters' minds work. It shows how they feel about 'right and wrong,' and what people display those. The first insult that came was the first comment on this log, made by Blizt, which is OOC abuse, by the way. And that is my final say on this matter.
- I don't see how asking the point of the log is OOC abuse, but I guess I won't ask. -M
