• The scene: Someone recently stole books from the temple of Asral. Devi wonders, "I wonder how talented you have to be to sneak in there?". She finds out that you definitely have to be more talented than she is.
  

You think you found a good possibility to sneak south.
You have entered the sanctuary of this temple dedicated to Asral the
neutral god of war and guardian of the fighters, mostly worshiped by humans
or other martial races. Asral is known to be neither good nor evil but he
prefers courage and heroism in battle. A huge statue of this deity
dominates the room and the altar stands on the southern wall. The furniture
consists of gold and gems. Valuable weapons and armours cover the walls and
bright light shines into the room through a huge window in the southern
wall.
There is a sign attached to one of the walls next to the altar.
Something is drawn onto the ground:
'A drawing of the god Asral, pierced through the heart with an arrow, and the
words "Check your priestly library."'
There are two obvious exits: north, west.
A burning pit of fire.
Daspor, Felron, Gornhelm, Rungarak and Zssorsal.
The flames of the burning pit blaze even higher for a moment.
You are looking around for a possibility to sneak west.
Rungarak blocks your way.
Rungarak growls angrily.
You reveal yourself.
You try to sneak west but fail.

You thrust your right fist at Rungarak's right arm, but his
chainmail deflects all damage.
Rungarak guards the north exit.
The smart-eyed hook-nosed male elf rushes in.
The smart-eyed hook-nosed male elf goes back to second row.
Rungarak clasps his axe firmly in both hands and swings it in a
wide arc, rotating around his axis.
Rungarak's axe soars towards you, but you manage to dodge the
strike.

Rungarak smashes his short steel axe at your right arm, but you
dodge his attack.
Gornhelm guards the north exit.
Gornhelm tries to ram his armoured knee into your right leg, but
you avoid his attack.
Gornhelm loses his balance and falls down to the ground.

Gornhelm thrusts his long fauchard at your left leg,
penetrates your skirt and drills it very deep into your left leg, causing a
nasty, deep wound.
Gornhelm crushes his long fauchard violently against
your left leg and breaks it with a bone-crunching sound.
You groan painfully.

You cannot longer wear your pair of black leather trousers.

Zssorsal guards the north exit.

but you avoid his attack.

Zssorsal thrusts his left fist at your head, but your hat
deflects all damage.
Felron guards the west exit.
Felron goes back to second row.
Felron closes his eyes and looks concentrated.

You thrust your left fist at Rungarak's head, but his horned
helmet deflects all damage.
Daspor shoots at you with a crossbow bolt.
You feel a cold draught as a crossbow bolt passes your head.
The smart-eyed hook-nosed male elf guards the north exit.
No way! Rungarak blocks that exit!
Gornhelm twists his body, slamming the heels of his hands
against the ground launching himself to his feet.
No way! Rungarak blocks that exit!
You can't do that because you have lost or broken limbs.
Damned! Your enemy is fast and blocks your way.
Try again!

The smart-eyed hook-nosed male elf closes his eyes and looks concentrated.

Wait a bit.
Rungarak uses a gap in your defense and tries to smash his
armoured head into your face, but you avoid his attempt.
Gornhelm changes his hold on his fauchard and swings its haft in
a low, crescent shaped arc.
You manage to dodge Gornhelm's weapon with a swift jump.
Damned! Your enemy is fast and blocks your way.
Try again!
You changed your fighting mood.

Zssorsal thrusts his left fist at your neck, hits your
choker and bruises your neck slightly
Suddenly a soft breeze starts to circulate around Felrong.
Damned! Your enemy is fast and blocks your way.

Daspor gets a crossbow bolt.

Felron starts to chant a prayer and makes some strange gestures.

Daspor starts to load the medium crossbow.

Gornhelm swings his long fauchard at your right leg,
cleaves through your padded tunic and cuts deep into your right leg, down to
the bone.
Gornhelm cuts off your right leg with his long
fauchard.
