Preface:

Figured I should update my profile since my old one is a couple years old now. Needless to say I like MUDs, that's why TuRian and I started our own . Would I have known from the beginning how much work it is, I probably wouldn't have done it. It does, however, teach one a lot about coding and society.

Will MUDs have a future? I don't know, but I believe so. They are like books and leave a lot to the fantasy of the player, something MMORPGs can't do. MUDs are also more complex because there are just some things you can't realize graphically, and brains and strategy are more important than fast reflexes. I also despise the playerbases of most MMORPGs, because they are full of adolescent and pre-adolescent trolls and twinks who have the time to play which most working grown-ups don't have. So yes, I think MUDs will have their niche for a long time, but the bad and stock text-based games will be weeded out.

Plans:

• World domination => In progress (decided the world isn't worth the effort)
• Coding the best Mud in the world => Achieved
• Defeating TuRian in Risk everytime => In progress (no one wants to lose in Risk against me anymore)
• Finishing the %#$@! Eal-Deliah Jungle => In progress (I should have learned from the last time I tackled such a task alone)
• Being mean to players => Achieved (that's now DrakE's job)
